  • Collateral Damage: The super gains the Reckless Hindrance, but is awarded a Benny each time his power goes out of control due to a Critical Failure.
    Additionally, if he uses a power in a risky manner (GM's call), the GM can award a Benny and say it went a bit wild, complicating the situation. For example, a heat ray sets the room on fire or radar sense is detected by enemy sensors.
  • Mutant: Similar to D-Bee, mutants are spurned by many humans but the reaction is more often disgust than hostility. Even when accepted as members of human society they are often not welcome in the highest social circles and may have difficulty fully pursuing romantic and professional relationships. Many human communities that accept D-Bees still find human mutants off-putting, in these cases their Reaction starts at Uncooperative.

The Equalizer is a purpose built adaptation using rounds made by competitors to see if it is worth reverse engineering those rounds. This six barreled pistol can use Bandito Arms Big Bore rounds, or Naruni Enterprises Plasma Rounds equally.     • Cannot make use of a "Speed Loader" due to the adaptive design that allows for multi-munitions use. Must be loaded one at a time.
    • Unique Ammo: Big Bore Rounds may be purchased at most Northern Gun Stores, or Bandito Arms stores for 100 credits each (Rarity -1); For those with the weapon and authorization, Northern Gun stores that have them will sell any Naruni Pistol Plasma rounds to the tester for 50 credits (Rarity -2).

Backstory

Charles was raised by he the Mason Family in the New West. As a teen he was told he was adopted but his parents had no information about his birth parents. When he finished his schooling, he became a Sheriff's Deputy for a brief time where he showed an almost preternatural physical ability picking up and mastering shooting and combat. After the fall of Tolkeen there was a fear that the CS's ambitions wouldn't stop there. Word began to spread of a group rising from the ashes of Tolkeen that was the antithesis of the CS. They called themselves the Tomorrow Legion. They were looking for volunteers and Charles, who found the CS and all of Prozek's beliefs, assaults and machinations in the name of unity to be an abomination, committed himself to stopping him. So he signed up.

During his physical assessment, it was discovered he had mutations. That his preternatural abilities were just that. He seemed to have developed enhanced abilities. This resulted in him being studied thoroughly which he welcomed because he wanted to know what was going on with him. During this study it was determined that not only was physically superior, but also his nervous system and psyche could withstand and insane amount of Bionics and Cybernetics. The team conducting the study asked him if he was willing to have Bionics and Cybernetics installed so they could see how his system reacted in order to apply that knowledge to future techniques. He agreed and after several months of surgeries, recovery and training he became one of the most advanced soldiers ever created. His performance in training and simulations were off the charts. He was given the call sign Operator, and old term for an elite skilled soldier. His first assignment would be as part of a security team for a detail assigned to retrieve items of great value and use to the TL from the ruins of Tolkeen. He would vow to make sure they were safe and successful.
