Stealth screens for a vechicles windows
These screens use holographic imagery to help folks inside a vechicle look a bit more human to the casual observer for a short while. Out the vechicle looking in -2 to notice checks to see if folks are not human, these screen can only work for a 10 minute duration and then they need to recharge, and complex circuitry needs to cool down. The down side is that the images also distort the field of view of any inside the vechicle, -2 to sight based notice checks.

When you referred to screens I thought it was something fitted over top of the windows, but then I realized you're talking about holograms. Would it be more appropriate to change the term to 'projector'?

It could be done by adding the Disguise power (major upgrade) to the device (40,000 credits + parts including a projector of some sort + TW markup).
I'd give this GM approval.

A disguise TW device would work nicely I think

Device with the disguise power trapped as a hologram works well.High Command wrote:A disguise TW device would work nicely I think
Follow the TW creation guidelines for parts, timing, and price and this is fine.

Re: Stealth screens for a vechicles windows
I am open to suggestions. The screens just make it more difficult to see the people inside the vehicle. Seems like a -2 to notice is reasonable. The trapping is that it makes non humans appear more human. Follows the line of dim or medium cover penalties.

making it more difficult to see inside is fine. Issue I have is how it would make them.appear to be human

Holographic technology combined with computer generated imagery. It's just the trapping of the mechanical effect. If it makes it easier I can build it as a tw device.

This item is fine as a holographic tech item that gives a penalty to notice. This is similar to other items/powers.

A TW device kinda defeats the point as the magic might be detected

Good point. Should it be similar in pricing? More or less expensive? I have no problem with this being a tech based item, I just made the mistaken assumption it was magical.Corrigon wrote:A TW device kinda defeats the point as the magic might be detected
