TW arcana distorion feild

This device is a prototype which helps mask arcane signatures in a medium sized area.
only works for 60 minutes takes 8 ppt to activate can hold 1 charge at a time, does mega version of conceal arcana in a medium burst template. It is has a prototype trapping, so on a wild die roll of 1 no matter the wild die it suffers a technical difficulty, and malfunction draw. It will still work if the skill die succeeds, but something unexpected happens.

Now that we're looking to get things approved can you break down exactly which upgrades this thing might have? P. 106-107 of the Player's Guide.

Edge-Master of magic +1 ppt to activate ( Major)
Power-Mega version of conceal arcana ( Major)
- +4 ppts, trapped to work only inside the vehicle and affect all people inside. A +2 ppt cost ( normally a +1, but doubled for mega), but it is offset by the prototype hindrance, a 1 on the wild die suffers from crit failure and a draw on the weird science backlash. Whomever activates it use their spell casting skill.

-Minor/Major custom ability can store similar to zone ranger enough ppts to charge and use the device once. Needs to have enough ppe to cover the storage space hence the two +5 ppe minors.

TW arcana distorion feild
This little sucker is about the size of the senser suit in robot armor or vechicle. It looks like a large painter's bucket with a red dial, the inside is filled with crystals wires, and a fair amount of lead ore. Turn it on and a brief red wave goes through the vehicle. Any magic items or persons within the red wave have a good chance at having their auras muted. Perfect thing to pass through a coalition check point. Dog boys and psi-stalkers will just smell the faint hint of red vines. It can store up to 8ppts which is also how many ppts it needs to activate.
    • Minor: +5 PPE

Basic price, if I'm understanding correctly.

10,000 credits for 2 minor upgrades.
60,000 credits for master of magic (seasoned edge, requires novice edge)
20,000 credits for conceal arcana (novice, automatically mega due to master of magic)

90,000 credits base cost + TW markup.

If this works for others then I'm fine with it.

By that write-up it would not work for those with AB(Psionics). It would have to grant 3 edges (Major Psionic, Master Psionic, Master of Magic) to let anyone with an AB use it as described.

It would be cheaper to manufacture the machine to suit the customer than it would be to manufacture a machine that could be used by any customer. I don't think the two edges is necessary, just swap it out when suitable.

That's not what I was saying. Master of Magic is fine as it is.

All we established is that it can't be used by psychics, which is fine. If we wanted to create one for psychics we could use the exact same build only with psychic edges instead.

Note: Technically, you can just give it the Conceal Arcana power, which is used by the operator (ie, it doesn't have to be locked into the Mega-Power version). If they have the ability to use Mega-Powers, then they can make it the Mega-Power version at will. This would also let them toggle the PPt cost per the situation.

Now, adding Master of Magic just means that any Magic-wielder can use the Mega-Power option, even if they lack the ability normally. The Psi-friendly version would be costlier, but still viable.
