  • Soldier: Professional soldiers get used to carrying heavy loads, and enduring harsh conditions. After a few days getting used to their gear (GM’s call), they treat their Strength as one die type higher when determining Encumbrance (SWADE page 67) and Minimum Strength to use armor, weapons, and equipment without a penalty (page 66). (This stacks with the Brawny Edge.)

    They also get a free reroll on Vigor rolls made to survive environmental hazards (see Hazards, SWADE page 125).

  • Combat Ace: With this Edge, the hero ignores the Multi-Action penalty for making a Boating, Driving, or Piloting check and taking
    another action in the same round.

  • Power Armor Jock: Power armor requires a basic level of training and experience to operate effectively. A character must have this Edge to avoid a −2 penalty to Agility and all skill rolls while wearing power armor. (IF)
  • Nerves od Steel: Your hero has learned to fight on through the most intense pain. He may ignore 1 point of Wound penalties.(MARS F&G)
  • Ambidextrous: Your warrior is as deft with his left hand as he is with his right. He ignores the Off-Hand penalty (see SWADE page 104).

    If holding a weapon in each hand, Ambidextrous characters may stack Parry bonuses (if any) from both weapons.

  • Danger Sense: Your hero can sense when something bad is about to happen. When rolling for Surprise (SWADE page 108), he adds +2 to his Notice roll to act in the first round. With a raise, he starts the encounter on Hold.

    In other situations not covered by the Surprise rules (a sniper shot, pit trap, poisoned drink, etc.), Danger Sense gives him a Notice roll at −2 (or +2 if a Notice roll is usually allowed) to detect the hazard and take appropriate action. If this was an attack and the hero makes his Notice roll, the foe doesn’t get The Drop against him.

  • Ace: Aces are pilots and drivers who have a special affinity with their car, boat, plane, or other vehicle. They ignore two points of penalties to any Boating, Driving, or Piloting roll, and may spend Bennies to Soak damage for any vehicle they control or command, using the appropriate Boating, Driving, or Piloting skill instead of Vigor. Each success and raise negates a Wound. (Hindrance)
  • Rock & Roll: Experienced shooters learn to compensate for the recoil of fully automatic weapons. If a character with this Edge doesn’t move on his turn, he ignores the Recoil penalty when firing at a Rate of Fire of 2 or higher. (See Recoil, SWADE page 105.) (Hindrance)
  • Steady Hands: Firing from the back of a horse or moving vehicle is tricky business, but your adventurer has figured it out. She ignores the Unstable Platform penalty (see SWADE page 109).

    This also helps when running, reducing the usual penalty from −2 to −1 (see Movement, SWADE page 92).

  • Combat Reflexes: Your warrior recovers quickly from shock and trauma. He adds +2 to his rolls when attempting to recover from being Shaken or Stunned. (Rank 4 - Seasoned)
  • Two Gun Kid: Two-Gun Kid works just like Two-Fisted, but with ranged weapons, allowing her to fire or throw a weapon in each hand as two different actions but without triggering a Multi-Action penalty.

    If the character has Two-Fisted, the second action may also be a melee attack.

NG-11F RED HAWK
Northern Gun’s answer to the venerable SAMAS, the Red Hawk debuted in 108
P.A. to much acclaim. The NG-11F took the flying power armor market by storm,
with many arguing it outperforms the old-style SAMAS—especially in chases,
hit-and-run combat, and close-quarters melees. The NG-11F features a hawk-
like head, a chunky SAMAS “inspired” winged jet engine flight system, and
talon-like forearm vibro-blades (550 lb., Rarity −3, 2 million credits).


NG-11F Red Hawk:

I’m good with the character. Come up with a reason you’re in New Del Rio and start playing. Maybe you came with Calvin (Legendary) Who is just now joining us. Or your previous team got wiped out? Whatever SSgt Grimes is requesting your help. Oh. Btw. Your CS character rank is Corporal. Having the Red Hawk is perfect since we are undercover CS soldiers.

Colorado Baronies

Jackson had positioned his Red Hawk behind a large outcropping of rocks on the other side lay a valley deep in shadows. In the valley lay a nestled Grav Rail Train.

Climbing out of his Red Hawk power armor, Jackson was certain he was several minutes ahead of his "delivery". As he peered around the outcropping at the Grav Rail Train below, he noticed a flat car and several people milling around near parts likely to make the flat car into a box car.

As if cued, the two "stolen" SAMAS power armors flew into view and after directions from the ground crew landed one by one on the flat bed car. Within minutes of the SAMAS landing on the flat bed, the sides indeed went up and completed a box car securing the "delivery". The next few minutes saw the Grav Rail Train power up and actually depart.

Taking his cue from the deafening sounds of the Grav Rail Train echoing from the valley below, Jackson suited up in his Red Hawk and prepared to follow the Train to its delivery point.

All suited up and the jets prepped to lift off, his transponder, connected to the Red Hawk's communication bands, starts spitting out streams of text. Glancing down, the text pours across the small screen. Remembering the Fox Tail code from his last received transmission, he is able to identify Code Red Air. "Abort. Immediately. Reassigned." Quickly looking back to the screen, the text scrolls through twice more. On the last parsing, Jackson keys in on the features. "NDR" followed by an eight digit number.

Not quite understanding the "NDR", the eight digits separate into two four digit coordinates. Lifting off, Jackson watches as the Grav Rail Train disappears to the west before heading off to the southwest.
