Eye for Terrain
Requirements: Novice, Notice d6+
If you have a good eye for terrain you can quickly fi gure the best places to set an ambush, or the best routes to take that will avoid likely ambush locations. Your character has a talent for picking good defensive terrain as well. This Edge gives your character a +2 on Notice rolls to spot an ambush (but not minefields). When setting an ambush, you and all the soldiers under your command have a +2 on their Stealth rolls to remain hidden.

Looks good for the most part. For her gear, she'll start with a C-12 instead of the Fire Breather.

You can play her one of two ways going forward; I'm fine with either option, so it's up to you:
  • Option One: She's a Regular Character: This is the more labor-intensive option for both of us, but I'm fine with it if you'd like to go this way. You'll make up an account for her with her own character sheet, etc. I'll track her post count just like I do everyone else (so you'll need to make 2 posts per scene/combat/etc., one for Conrad and one for Jameson), and she'll advance normally. Functionally, it will be just like we added another PC to the game, and you control them both.
  • Option Two: She's a True Sidekick: This is what we are doing in my other game where my character has a sidekick, and it is working well. She will act on Conrad's initiative, will not have a separate account (and a separate post rate), and will gain 1/2 the experience Conrad gains. She would only have 2 bennies to start with in this option (like a normal Wild Card NPC), though, so you may want to pick a different Major Hindrance for her.

Either her parents did everything they could to educate her, she atended one of the
few schools left in the world, or she might even have found and lived in an ancient
library. However managed, she has five additional skill points to spend at character
creation, but they may only be spent on Healing, Investigation, and Knowledge skills.
