Force Field Augmented Cyborg Light Infantry Plate

      Notes: MDC Armor, –1 to all Agility-linked non-combat skill rolls.

Total Cost: 198k + any Conversion Costs

This suit of experimental Cyborg is the result of reverse engineering Naruni force field technology. Unfortunately they have not been able to miniaturize it enough for deployment on most body armor or even normal cyborg body armor. The closest they have come is the oversized armor that Klanker is able to wear. Their is some field instability, however, that is exhibited as an electrical static charge that can be discharged by touch at

More info on the inline/enemies. What kinda damage? How much damage etc. please.

The extra damage is from the Brawler and Bruiser Edges... so just physical damage... ups Klanker's unarmed damage from d4 to d8

Gotcha. At your target. Not at additional enemies. For some reason I was picturing it as a area of effect like thing. You just mean whoever you are hitting.

I’m not seeing anything wrong with it. Ultimately it’s Technospawn’s game.

Looks sweet to me.

Soon strength d12+1 or higher will do mega damage, so this will grant +7 Toughness, +3 Armor and let you inflict Vibroblade level damage with your hand.

I approve. Let's hope Technospawn does.
  • 2D6 EFFECT
    2 Catastrophe: Something goes terribly wrong. The GM must decide what, but some ideas are a new and permanent Minor Hindrance, the inability to use powers for several days, or an explosion of some sort. The backlash should be thematic if possible. If the hero tampers with dark forces for his abilities, for example, he might become corrupted or summon something sinister into the world. If he’s a weird scientist the device might explode for 3d6 damage in a Medium Blast Template, or he might develop a Quirk, Phobia, or other “madness.”

    3 Backfire: The power succeeds as with a raise but affects a different target with the worst possible results. A bolt hits a random friend, boost Trait increases an enemy’s skill or attribute, etc. If there’s no likely target, he’s Stunned instead. If the power has a Duration other than Instant, it lasts its full term and can only be negated by dispel (the caster can’t voluntarily end it herself).

    4–5 Short Circuit: The power fails but the Power Points allocated to it are spent, along with an additional 1d6 Power Points.

    6–8 Stunned: The caster is Stunned (see page 106). She subtracts 2 from arcane skill rolls for the rest of the encounter (the penalty remains –2 even if she gets this result again).

    9–10 Overload: The character’s synapses crackle and overload with power. He takes 2d6 damage plus the cost of the power in Power Points, including any Power Modifiers the player declared.

    11 Fatigue: The character suffers Fatigue.

    12 Overcharge: The power draws ambient energy from the air, automatically succeeding against the target with a raise and costing the caster no Power Points!

If I was just going pure POWER, I would instead use a Naruni Force Field attached to his armor as the base item. Being in the Coalition means I am using his armor as the base.

This is a cool concept.

I feel like Bruiser and Brawler are backdoor Toughness upgrades but I like how they are explained so much I can't really complain.

This will make a cyborg pretty darn tough but is no worse than Naruni force fields.
