Heroic Male Human, Chi Warrior
Background
Punchy grew up in London's East End, and was apprenticed to his uncle, a tanner. In actuality, the man was not his uncle, or a tanner. The real business was extracting the most valuable organs of the various exotic and damning creatures that came through the tanner's back room. Punchy was a quick study, and showed talents for surgical dexterity and keeping a low profile. Of course, the operation was hardly legal and Punchy soon found himself involved in other nefarious schemes. One unfortunate afternoon, Punchy mixed his master's business with a job-gone-sideways, and he was forced to flee. Punchy fled to America, and traveled west at a breakneck pace to avoid certain 'friends of enemies'. In California, he took up a job laying railroad tracks and fell in with the Chinese immigrants. One sifu, seeing his potential, took him under his wing. Punchy trained and worked for several years, and after a botched attempt to start a homestead, has turned toward more exciting and lucrative opportunities.
Description
Punchy is a small, wiry figure. A beige flatcap is tucked low on his brow, with scraggly black hair pushing out on all sides. Between the cap and his jutting jawline, his brown eyes seem small and beady. Punchy's nose is not worth mentioning, beyond being broken many, many, many times. He seems incapable of growing a beard, and keeps it tightly trimmed. Punchy often wears a black, unbuttoned vest over a white loose-fitting shirt, paired with brown slacks and sandals. His appearance is largely a distraction from the precision with which he carries out any given task, and his athletic physique.
